Fresh Music: That FADED Kid x Nolan The Ninja "50-50 Grind"

That FADED Kid of The Burbz and Nolan The Ninja of VVE dropped a track called 50-50 Grind earlier in the month (sorry for posting late, oops). Seems like That FADED Kid changed his flow/voice up a little bit? Since he's a newer artists I think he's just trying to find himself a little as far as the voice goes, but I actually like where he's at with it now. The Ninja spit a gritty verse, which made me feel like he has true passion about his grind. My favorite part was when he said "My generation call it boring, but they will be cheering when I'm anointed". With That FADED Kid's verse being a bit more laid back/raspy and Nolan's being rough/hard knock, I would say the track balances itself out nicely. Enjoy listening to their day to day grind.. Check it! Also, shoutout to the person who did the artwork, I like how they incorporated the skateboard into it.

Fresh Music: Nas "One Love" (Nolan The Ninja Remix)

Nolan dropping ill sh*t is nothing new. For his latest release he gave us a remix to Nas' classic record "One Love" which also coincide with the legend's 40th birthday. Instead of doing the entire 3 versus he went ahead on did only the first two. Would it be accurate to say this actually sounds better than the original version? I like the uptempo feeling I get from it because it completely changes the vibe as well as the crystal clear sound. Check it...

Here are the visuals to the original version

Fresh Music: Nolan The Ninja "Total Wreck"

YUPPPPPPPPP, Nolan is back at it with yet another track, and this go round he decided to rhyme over Bahamadia's Total Wreck. Total Wreck is a 90's track, so I can't say I'm surprised Nolan would choose this beat as his lyrical playground. One of the things he said that stuck out to me was "mental therapy for the noggin, session of mind clearing, escaping from all the problems". Everyone has their own way of breaking away from reality. Personally, my way is meditation, but for Nolan it's probably hitting the studio. All of these dope tracks being released by The Ninja makes me want an EP.... *cough cough*

Here is the original version of Total Wreck from Bahamadia

Fresh Video: Nolan The Ninja "Tiffany"

Woop Woop, visuals for Tiffany are finally here. As Nolan The Ninja lusts over a spicy jawn, he explains why he is so attracted to her. When he finally musters up the courage to make an approach, he get's an answer that he wasn't anticipating. Love love loveeeee how clips from the original A Tribe Called Quest's Bonita Applebum were incorperated...respect!

Fresh Video: Chavis Chandler feat. Nolan The Ninja "Orderly Fashion"

The VVE (Verbal Vomit Enterprise) crew shot a video for Orderly Fashion, which is from Chavis Chandler's BOFA II, and features Nolan The Ninja. The video is shot entirely in black and white, with the exception of blue skies here and there, and has a vintage feel from beginning to end. Majority of the time, the crew is mobbing through the streets just enjoying themselves. Chavis' raw style sticks out simply because of the vintage glasses, bandana, gold chains, and leather biker jacket. Watch as the crew style on us in an orderly fashion...

Fresh Music: Nolan The Ninja "Makaway" (Woods' Mix)

The Ninja remixed Makaway, which was his first single from NinjaTown, and is produced by Ashton Woods. The original and remix have 2 totally different vibes, but both are very nice. Nolan is always coming up with dope tracks, never disappointed... Check out the remixed version...

Here is the original version.

Fresh Video: Nolan The Ninja "Freestyle"

While we await the video for Tiffany, the Ninja spits us a fire freestyle! If you haven't downloaded his latest project Ninja Town, do it now...

Fresh Video: Nolan The Ninja "Makaway"

Nolan The Ninja dropped visuals for Makaway today at 12:00 pm. The quote from Q-Tip at the beginning was pretty ill. Next I'd like to see visuals for Tiffany, which was also a song from his latest project, NinjaTown.

Fresh Album: Nolan The Ninja "NinjaTown"

Please don't yell at me. I know I haven't been posting things for a while, but moving back to school was a long process. All that matters is xCaliber Lifestyle is back in business! About 2 weeks ago, Nolan The Ninja finally released his highly anticipated album "NinjaTown". Just before that, he posted an EPK, where Nolan talked about his early influences, beat selection, and the NinjaTown brand.

My expectations for NinjaTown was pretty high. Nolan always seems to pick a great beat selection, as well as have meaningful lyrical content and word play. The last two tracks (Makaway-Reprise and Paz) are just straight beats and I thought that was different. My favorites would have to be Makaway, Phat and Phunky, and Tiffany! This project is pure hip hop and I love it! was in no way a disappointment!

NinjaTown (EPK)

Nolan The Ninja is dropping his highly anticipated Ninja Town album in 7 days, but while we wait Nolan decided to release an EPK! Different topics are brought up such as when Nolan began rapping and early influences. Also, friends of the Ninja tell us how they feel about his music
