What better place for the Beast Coastal tour to end, other than in New York. Not only was it in New York, where all of the members of each crew resides, but it also coincided with the newest holiday on everyone's calendar, 4/20. With that being said, it was inevitable for the show to be sold out. I attended the performance earlier in the month when they stopped at the Crofoot Ballroom, which I thought was a crazy experience, but I'm sure the energy doesn't compare to this last show. Crowd surfing and and water guns.. need I say more? Check it...

Fresh Music: Joey Bada$$ feat. Chance The Rapper "Wendy N' Becky"
The last track we heard from Joey Bada$$ was Don't Quit Your Day Job, where he humiliated Lil B to say the least. Now, back at it with something more official, here is Wendy N' Becky featuring Chance The Rapper. The two rap over a jazzy-esque (if that's a word) beat, which was produced by Thelonius Martin. The combination of Chance and Joey, the rhythm, and artwork embody a sexy mature aura. Tony Whlgn keeps the clean artwork coming, shoutout to him!

Fresh Music: Joey Bada$$ "Unorthodox" (Prod. Dj Premier)
Last week I posted the video of Joey Bada$$ cooking up Unorthodox with DJ Premier in From The Block to The Top. Unorthodox is here and is everything I expected from the duo. The album artwork is sick as well. The subway bus has the Pro Era emblem, RIP STEEZ, and the term Beast Coast. With Pro Era member Capital STEEZ passing away last month just after Peep: The aPROcalypse dropped, I think it's dope how they incorporated RIP Steez in the center portion of the artwork. One love. Fresh Video: DyMe-A-DuZiN feat. Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly & Capital STEEZ "Swank Sinatra"
This is my first time hearing about DyMe A DuZiN, most likely because music waves come late over here in Metro Detroit. But, here is a video from DuZiN called Swank Sinatra featuring Pro Era's own Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, and Capital Steez. The video is shot on the streets, but the backgrounds, color changes, and scene transitions is what make this video different. This track will be on DuZiN's mixtape A Portrait Of Donavoan dropping 1/9/13.

Fresh Music: Capital STEEZ feat. Dirty Sanchez, Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, Rokamouth & Dessy Hinds
On black Friday, Pro Era member Capital STEEZ dropped a track titled Blakkk Krown featuring other Pro Era members such as Dirty Sanchez, Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly, Rokamouth, and Dessy Hinds. Though the track is just over 9 minutes long, everyone's verse is solid, which makes it perfect. Seems like every verse Steez creates is intellectual and makes you think a little deeper than usual. If you're not familiar with King Capital, download his most recent project Amerikkkan Korruption Reloaded! Patiently waiting for the Pro Era tape 12/21/12

Fresh Video: Joey Bada$$ feat. Chuck Strangers "Fromdatomb$"
Fromdatomb$ featuring Chuck Strangers is the last video Joey will be dropping from his 1999 mixtape. They stuck with the 90's theme and created the old school VHS look, which is ill! Be on the lookout for the Pro Era tape, which is set to release on 12/21/12.
The Era, no error!

Pro Era Crew at Night Vision CMJ Showcase
Here is footage of the Pro Era crew at the Night Vision CMJ Showcase.
On Twitter Joey referred to this video as the "Pro Era Tape Preview". The entire crew spit rhymes over multiple classic beats and ripped every one.
The set release date for the Pro Era Tape is December 21st 2012.

Fresh Mixtape: Joey Bada$$ "Rejex"
Mr. Bada$$ himself is back with a project called Rejex. This tape consists of tracks that majority of the tracks that did not make it on his debut mixtape 1999. Majority of the tracks are songs that he made when he was younger, but there are also songs that he used just before the release of 1999. One track on here is included in on both 1999 and Rejex, which is oG killuminati. Keep Joey on your radar....

Fresh Music: Joey Bada$$ "Home" (Prod: Chuck Strangers)

You know that show "If You Really Knew Me"? Well, I'm here to confess that if you really knew me, you'd know I listen to Joey Bada$$ everyday. I haven't heard anything from Joey since the 1999 mixtape, but he is back at it with a track called Home produced by Pro Era's own Chuck Strangers. Chuck has a tape releasing called "Free Bass" in which different artists from Pro Era will be rapping over beats produced by him. In this song, Joey mostly speaks about his traveling experiences, and finally being back home. At the end, he says "Somebody tell Hov I'm taking the throne".... pretty ambitious? Yes, but he definitely has time to reach for that goal..
